What Makes This Rink Unique

The views from the rink are breathtaking! 4 years ago, I cleared and leveled this portion of my yard to create a rink that is nearly canopied by maple trees and lies perched overlooking Pierrepont State park in Ridgefield, CT. I originally built this rink to give my kids some extra stick time when they were beginning to play hockey. Since then, our rink has turned into the center of Winter activity at our house. As a family we try to skate every night that we possibly can. It is amazing how fast homework gets done when your goal is to get skates on by by 7:00 pm. I never played hockey as a kid, but I do now!
