About GottaLoveCTHockey

GottaLoveCTHockey is an initiative sponsored by CHC, the governing body for USA Hockey in the state of Connecticut, in an effort to promote the game of youth hockey and attract more players to the sport.

With 38 youth hockey programs in the state, and over 11,000 hockey players between the ages of 4-19, there are many stories to tell about the unique culture of youth hockey.

GottaLoveCTHockey demonstrates that we are all the same, yet different, in our world of youth ice hockey.

• Parents fight to stay warm in cold rinks, battle the stench of ripe hockey bags, and make the important decision of whether to sit or stand at their child's game.
• Coaches work hard to impart important life lessons, keep practice drills fresh, and understand their mite/squirt/peewee/bantam/midget players.
• Players have a huge bag of equipment to haul around, play a myriad of positions, and overall embody the "work hard, play hard" philosophy.
